Loyola College of Education, Namchi is situated in a sprawling and picturesque ten acres of greenery landscape at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. Among many priorities of Institution one is to help in the preservation of nature. In the light of this priority, institution has formed an Eco-Club team and committee to deliver its commitment towards environment through its vibrant curriculum. .
Objectives of LCE Eco-Club; (1)To educate Prospective Teacher about their immediate environment and impart knowledge about the eco-systems. (2)To create awareness among Prospective Teacher about the impact of waste on the environment. (3) To motivate the Prospective Teacher to maintain green and clean campus. (4) To sensitize the Prospective Teacher towards instilling value of love, care and empathy for plants available in the campus. (5)To engage Prospective Teacher in different environment related international and national programme. . (6) To develop a skill of participation among Prospective Teacher with regard to environment related work through outreach programme. Expected Outcomes;- Prospective Teacher develop the habit of maintaining a clean and green campus.
- Prospective Teacher develop the habit of safe waste disposal at different segregation bins following proper segregation at source.
- Prospective Teacher participate actively in cleanliness and plantation drive in and outside the campus.
- Prospective Teacher participate in various international and national important environment related programme.
- Prospective Teacher participate unconditionally in different outreach programme with regard to environment.
