Policy for staff Welfare

The teaching and non-teaching staff at Loyola College of Education, Namchi, Sikkim benefits from effective welfare measures.
Staff welfare is a top priority at Loyola College of Education, Namchi. In connection with this, existing welfare measures for the staffs are listed below:

 

  • Medical leave and maternity leave are available to eligible staff members.
  • The institute contributes a specific amount to an employee’s EPF account in accordance with EPF guidelines, in order to ensure their future safety.
  • Every month, the employee receives salary on time through their respective bank accounts.
  • Non-teaching staff fund has been established for financial support for non-teaching staff.
  • The management ensures that all of the festivals are celebrated together because the institution has a multicultural environment on campus.
  • Canteen is available on campus for Staff.
  • Staff members are provided with personal computers (desktop) and have access to Internet, and free Wi-Fi on campus.
  • The management organizes a staff trip for both teaching and non-teaching staffs once a year. The trip’s financial expenses are also covered by the management. This trip allows the staffs to re-energize and refresh their minds and bodies.
  • Faculty members have been given permission to act as resource persons.
  • Faculty development programmes (FDP) are organized for faculty members.
  • The management encourages and renders financial support to any staff member to attend seminars, workshops, conferences, etc. as part of Faculty Development Programme.
  • Skill development courses are held for both teaching and non-teaching staff to improve their skills in the workplace.
  • Automation of attendance and leave using biometric system.
  • The management recognizes and appreciates the research work and publications.
  • The management encourages the staff members who have not completed their Ph D, to enroll in Ph.D. programmes.
  • Special health and fitness programmes, such as yoga, meditations are offered for the staff.
  • Identity cards, photocopy services and sports facilities are provided for both teaching and non-teaching staff members.
  • Sports and Cultural Meet for teaching and non-teaching staffs are organized.
  • College has to drinking water facilities.

  • Staff members can also receive motivation through counseling in order to establish a healthy working environment in the campus.
